Larissa Ranz brings more than 25 years of experience in property management and client relations to her role as Director of Intake and Client Relations at Ranz Injury Law. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in customer service, business operations, and building lasting relationships. She also holds a real estate license and has earned her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation.

At Ranz Injury Law, Larissa oversees the firm’s intake processes and helps ensure that prospective clients receive a welcoming and supportive experience from their very first interaction. She works closely with the team to coordinate new client inquiries, support communication, and maintain an organized and efficient intake process.

Larissa understands that reaching out to an attorney often comes during a stressful or uncertain time. Her years of working directly with people have shaped her patient, approachable nature, and commitment to helping others feel heard and supported. Working alongside her husband, Dave Ranz, she shares a dedication to providing personalized service and building meaningful relationships within the community.

Outside of work, Larissa loves spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new places. She enjoys relaxing in the sunshine, reading, and anything involving animals or sea life. Known for her sense of humor and love of making people laugh, she’s equally happy discovering somewhere new or curling up on a comfortable couch with a good book and a cozy blanket.

Kara Lane brings a diverse background in business, healthcare, and communications to her role at Ranz Injury Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University. Her experience across multiple industries has given her a well-rounded perspective on business operations, client relationships, and organizational development.

At Ranz Injury Law, Kara wears several hats, overseeing marketing initiatives, supporting office operations, and coordinating medical records and billing requests. From building relationships with local healthcare providers to developing community outreach programs and managing behind-the-scenes processes, her work helps keep the firm organized, connected, and moving forward.

With a background in healthcare, Kara understands the importance of communication and coordination throughout a client’s recovery. She enjoys finding ways to improve processes, solve problems, and create systems that make life easier for both the team and the people they serve. Her passion for planning and bringing ideas to life is reflected in her approach to both marketing and operations.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, getting together with family and friends, reading a good book, and trying new recipes in the kitchen. Whether she’s planning the next family adventure or hosting a game night, she loves finding ways to bring people together and make lasting memories.

With over two decades of dedicated experience in personal injury law, Jessica Hakanson brings a wealth of practical knowledge and on-the-ground expertise to her role at Ranz Injury Law. Since 2002, she has worked exclusively in the field, gaining deep insight into every step of the claims process through real-world experience.

Jessica’s hands-on training and long-standing work in personal injury make her a critical asset to both clients and attorneys. She excels at guiding clients through treatment, communicating with providers, and managing the complex documentation needed to build strong, evidence-backed claims. Her calm, steady presence and ability to explain legal procedures in plain terms help clients feel confident and informed during what can be an overwhelming time.

Her extensive background allows her to anticipate challenges before they arise and find practical solutions that keep cases moving forward. She’s known for her reliability, attention to detail, and genuine care for the people she helps.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, being pulled along on long walks by her energetic dog, browsing local farmers’ markets, and soaking up as much time outdoors as possible.

Stephanie Pederson has worked in personal injury law since 2014 and brings a strong foundation of legal knowledge and client support to her role at Ranz Injury Law. She earned her associate’s degree from Pierce College in 2008, her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington Tacoma in 2010, and completed her Paralegal Certificate at Tacoma Community College in 2015.

At Ranz Injury Law, Stephanie supports clients from the beginning to the end of their case—managing communication with insurance companies, drafting key legal documents, and addressing emergent needs as they arise. She’s known for her organized, efficient approach and her ability to solve problems quickly in a constantly shifting environment.

Stephanie is driven by a desire to help people and finds fulfillment in seeing a case through to resolution. She enjoys the variety her role brings, where no two days look the same, and values being part of a team that advocates for clients during difficult times.

Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys running, reading, and camping in her trailer with her husband and two kids. A fun fact: she’s completed a half marathon—and she’s already planning for her next one.

Alyssa Hernandez joined Ranz Injury Law in early 2026, bringing eight years of experience in customer service, retail, and healthcare coordination. Her background has given her a strong foundation in communication, organization, and managing the details that help keep things running smoothly.

As the firm’s Legal Assistant and Records Coordinator, Alyssa supports the legal team throughout the claims process, helping ensure cases are organized, documented, and moving forward. Her responsibilities include coordinating medical records and billing requests, communicating with healthcare providers and insurance companies, assisting with insurance claims, and preparing and tracking important case documentation.

Alyssa understands that even the smallest details can make a difference in a personal injury case. Whether following up on outstanding records, verifying information, or assisting with day-to-day case needs, she takes pride in being thorough, dependable, and keeping things on track.
